As an intern, I worked to help Redfin agents serve customers better. Redfin has some of the best real estate agents, but our agents handle more clients than traditional agents. For this and other reasons, Redfin offers a unique experience. I sought to give our agents Tools that help them triage and act on priorities.

The people working on Redfin’s Agent Tools do amazing work, and I’m blessed to have worked with them. Becca Galfer, my mentor, brings great ideas to life offering agents a simpler and more beautiful interface. That’s no minor statement because Agent Tools is complex. Becca’s mentorship was the best thing about working at Redfin. To my last day, I learned a lot from her.

After this internship, I am more persuasive, more articulate, and quicker to seek feedback — from stakeholders, other designers, and users. I have learned how to move a project forward. I learned the design process standard to most companies. I learned how to design more efficiently. I have learned the value of empathizing and understanding the user problem. For these things (and more), I thank my mentors, manager, other designers, and several other people. I loved my time at Redfin!
